Itziar Garcia de Andoin
Itziar obtained her BSc in Marine Sciences from the University of Vigo in 2001 and a BSc in Environmental Sciences from the University Alfonso X El Sabio in 2002. She later obtained a MSc in Coastal and Harbour Engineering from the University of Cantabria in 2005.
She started her career as coastal engineer in Alatec SA, in Madrid, where she worked for 2 years collaborating in coastal and harbour engineering projects. Her role mainly involved carrying out numerical model studies to support the design, construction and maintenance works of harbours and marinas along the Spanish coast. Including the estimation of the impact of such coastal structures in the local sediment transport.
In 2007 Itziar joined Noble Denton Consultants Ltd (now trading as DNV GL), in London, as a MetOcean engineer broadening the modelling capabilities of the department. During four years she produced several studies providing MetOcean design criteria for specific locations and marine transportation, including numerical modelling of waves, flows and water levels for different purposes both offshore and in the coast.
Head of the MetOcean department since 2011, she kept a very technical role, while managing the business performance of the department in terms of quality, recruitment, delivery management, and commercial and technical content. Her role included the preparation of tenders and reports, managing clients and projects, mentoring more junior team members and carrying out technical studies.
In June 2016, co-founded CA Metocean, where she keeps producing technical studies while taking care of the business management and development.

Baptiste Chicaud
Baptiste graduated from the “Ecole d’Ingénieurs SeaTech” in 2008, formerly Institut des Sciences de l’Ingénieur de Toulon et du Var, ISITV, France, with a major in marine sciences, including hydrodynamics, offshore & subsea technology, naval architecture, offshore structures, meteorology and oceanography.
He then joined Noble Denton Consultants Ltd (now trading as DNV GL) as a MetOcean engineer where his main role was to produce meteorological and oceanographic studies to determine environmental design criteria for specific locations and marine transportations for over 7 years.
He also had a leading role in the development of data analysis tools and techniques, as well as database access tools, keeping the department up to date with the latest developments in the industry. He is proficient in MATLAB, as well as possessing competencies in Python and Fortran. He also has extensive experience in wave and flow numerical modelling studies, using state of the art numerical models, such as Mike 21 suite, SWAN, TOMAWAC, TELEMAC 2D.
In June 2016, co-founded CA Metocean, where he keeps expanding the company’s technical capabilities by developing new tools to access the latest data sets as well as to perform new analysis as required.
